Loyalty pricing
Up to 50% off a new release, and 20% off twice a year to finish a bundle you’ve started.
Dropping a price right after someone bought a plugin at full price has never felt fair to me. So instead of sales, the best prices go to the people who are already here, and they grow as you go. Everything below is open on the same terms to everyone who qualifies.
New-release codes
Every time I release a new plugin, subscribers get a new-release code for it. The more you already own, the bigger the code. It starts at 20% off and stops at 50%, which is what people who own the whole catalogue pay.
The code works on that one release, and it lasts 30 days from launch. That is the intro period, and it is the only time a Felt price is lower than its list price: once it ends, the price does not come down again.
Bundle-completion codes
Started a bundle and want the rest? Twice a year, in June and December, subscribers get a code for 20% off the other plugins in any bundle they’ve already started. It works on the individual plugins you don’t own yet. So you can finish a bundle at your own pace, and never pay for the same licence twice.
Each code lasts 30 days. I send a fresh one each June and December, updated to whatever you own by then.
Bundle-completion codes apply to every bundle except the Everything Bundle.
- How to qualify
- The 20% intro price on a new release is open to everyone for its first 30 days. For the larger new-release codes and the bundle-completion codes you need two things: at least one paid Felt licence, and a newsletter subscription. You can subscribe at checkout, from the footer of any page, or just by downloading a free trial.
- The best way to save on Felt Instruments
- Each code is sized to what you already own, so it grows as you go. If you miss a release, look at a bundle next. If a bundle costs more than you want to spend now, start with the plugins you need most, and finish it later with a bundle-completion code.
- The small print
- Codes are personal: they are sized to your own purchases and work for you only. Spending is counted as what you paid, before tax, across all currencies at face value. One code per cart, and a code cannot be applied to an order already placed. The programme describes what I do today, and I mean to keep it, but I may change it for future releases; a code you already hold keeps its terms until it expires.
- Studying, teaching, or non-profit?
- There’s separate pricing for you. See students, teachers & non-profits. Edu pricing and loyalty discounts don’t stack, so use whichever gives you the better price.
how the loyalty pricing works
Does Felt ever have sales, or a Black Friday discount?
No. There are no sales at Felt, because dropping a price right after someone paid full price has never felt fair to me.
A new release has an intro price for its first 30 days: 20% off for everyone, and more if you already own Felt plugins. After those 30 days the price is the price, and it does not come down again.
Two things do go lower after that, on the same terms for everyone who qualifies. If you have started a bundle, a bundle-completion code takes 20% off the rest of it, twice a year. Students, teachers and people at non-profits get 25% off individual plugins.
How are the new-release codes calculated?
Your new-release code grows with each purchase you make. It starts at 20% off for everyone. Once you have spent €100 with Felt, it grows to 25%. It rises another 5% for every further €100, and stops at 50%.
Can I combine the two loyalty discounts, or use a loyalty discount with edu pricing?
One discount per purchase. Use whichever gives you the better price.
Does a new-release code work on older plugins or on a bundle?
No. It’s tied to the new release only.
I own plugins from two different bundles. What do my June and December codes cover?
Both bundles. The code applies to the missing plugins in every bundle you’ve started.
Why doesn’t the code work on the bundles themselves?
Because a bundle would charge you again for what you already own, and hand you extra licences you don’t need. So the code works on the individual plugins instead. Add the ones you want and apply the code at checkout.
Can one code buy several plugins?
You can apply one code per cart. Fill the cart with everything the code covers before you pay.
I didn’t use my new-release code in time. Do I lose it?
An expired code is expired. But things get in the way, and I can extend a code by 7 days if you ask - just get in touch and I’ll set you up.
